bendy bus

Talking about Oyster Cards and Public Transport yesterday (I am glad someone found it useful) here's one of the bendy buses. They got four doors along the side and near each of them is an Oyster Card reader. You cannot buy tickets from the driver usually so you have to either have an Oyster card, a travel card or a ticket from one of those machine that don't give change.

A major problem of these buses is however that many people just don't have a ticket at all. And because there are hardly ever checks done this clearly is a case where being honest is not of any advantage...

Deutsch für gestern und heute im Kurzformat: Wer nach London kommt sollte sich eine Oyster Karte zulegen. Die kostet 3 Pfund. Danach spart man aber bei Busfahrten die Hälfte und bei Tubefahrten fast genausoviel. Das Bild heute ist vom "Bendybus", der vier Türen hat, natürlich jede mit berührungslosem Lesegerät für die Oyster Karte. Allerdings ist dieser Bus ein klares Beispiel von "der ehrliche ist der dumme" denn niemand kontrolliert ob man seine Oyster Karte auch benutzt hat.
